Hygiene Ready · practical preparation

Food hygiene inspection preparation built into the working day.

Bring inspection findings, food safety routines and team responsibilities into a plan your venue can put into practice.

Discuss Hygiene Ready

Start with the findings, then build the routine.

If a recent inspection has highlighted gaps, start with the officer's report and the actions the local authority requires. A cleaner-looking kitchen alone does not explain whether every concern has been resolved.

Friday Ready provides remote operational support to organise the relevant controls, identify missing evidence and clarify who does what. The venue's exact location and requirements are confirmed before work is agreed.

What preparation can include.

Cleaning and checking

Methods, frequencies and named responsibilities that fit your equipment, areas and opening hours.

Food safety records

Usable checks, corrective-action prompts and review routines alongside an appropriate food safety management system.

Allergen communication

Ingredient-information updates, ownership of customer questions and a clear route for communicating orders within the agreed scope.

Existing systems should be used where they work. We agree the extent of the work, local verification needs and implementation support in your quote.

A food hygiene rating covers more than paperwork.

In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme assesses food handling, the condition of the premises and how food safety is managed. A rating of 3 means the standards found were generally satisfactory; the written findings explain what needs improving.

Preparation must address the actual issues across the operation. Remote advice cannot verify everything on site or guarantee a particular rating. The local authority decides the rating after inspection.

Confirm the local scope before payment.

Scotland uses a different scheme. New Zealand and Australia have their own requirements, with variation by location. Tell us where your venue operates so we can confirm suitability and any appropriate local verification before agreeing the work.

Share the latest inspection report, existing food safety records, cleaning arrangements and the parts of the working day you are finding difficult. Translated materials can be discussed on request.
