Friday Fix · personalised project work

Practical fixes. Built around your venue.

We design the prep sheets, shift routines, procedures and management tools that help your team tackle recurring problems. Each Friday Fix is built around the way your venue operates.

The project comes with practical instructions and a remote handover for your managers. Tell us what keeps getting in the way. We’ll explain what we could build and give you a written quote before work starts.

If you need to understand the problem first, the £150 Friday Test provides the diagnosis and priorities. Further work is optional and separately quoted.

Built for the working day.

Made for your venue.

Working documents that fit your team, workload and existing routines.

Clear responsibilities.

A plan for who does each job, what gets recorded and what managers need to check.

Guidance for managers.

Instructions and the agreed remote handover to help your team put the materials into use.

Focused work · Friday Fix

Where we can help.

A few examples of the work we can build around your business.

Prep & serviceGet prep ready for service.Prep planner · readiness check · shift handover

When prep keeps spilling into service, the work needs a clearer plan. We can build a prep sheet with quantities, deadlines and responsibilities, together with a readiness check and handover for anything unfinished. Staff have a plan to work from, and managers can see what is ready and what still needs attention.

People & rotasMake the jobs clear on every shift.Shift roles · task allocation · cover routine

Opening, deliveries, service and closing all need someone responsible. A shift plan can put those jobs alongside the rota, with clear assignments and a straightforward way for the manager to adjust cover when staffing changes.

Employment law, payroll and tax questions need qualified local advice.

Stock & wasteTake the guesswork out of ordering.Order planner · stock and waste logs · review routine

For venues ordering from memory or struggling with disconnected records, we can bring stock counts, ordering and waste into one working routine. Staff have a consistent way to record the information; managers have a clear review to follow.

Daily routinesMake daily checks useful.Checklists · responsibilities · follow-up steps

Bring opening, closing and cleaning checks into a routine people can follow. We can create the checklists, allocate responsibility and set out what happens when a check raises a concern.

Local food-safety requirements, technical limits and allergen procedures need appropriate local verification. This work is not an inspection or certification.

Procedures & trainingGive new starters a clear start.Task instructions · induction checklist · training records

New starters need guidance that makes sense while they are doing the job. Practical task instructions, an induction checklist and training records give your managers a consistent starting point for explaining, practising and checking the work.

Management reviewsTurn the review into a plan.Reporting sheet · review agenda · action tracker

A useful management meeting ends with clear actions. We can build a reporting sheet, review agenda and action tracker so managers can see what needs attention, assign responsibility and return to progress at the next review.

This is operational support. Accounting, financial, tax and legal advice need the relevant qualified advisers.

Illustrative finished tool

A planner the next shift can use.

A focused prep-and-handover project could give a manager a sheet like this, with instructions for planning quantities, checking readiness and passing on unfinished work.

Friday prep and handover — fictional example

Prep line: dessert portions · planned quantity: 60 · ready by: 17:00 · owner: section lead · readiness check: duty chef

Handover: 12 portions remain to be finished · next owner: evening section lead · next check: before the service brief

Illustrative fields and invented values. Quantities and responsibilities are set around the actual venue; this is not a client result or a recommended production quantity.

The working material includes the fields, instructions and manager check needed for the agreed routine. Your quote confirms what is built and handed over.

When several parts need connecting

Full Operations Build.

One working system for the way your venue runs.

Connect roles and decisions, staffing, prep, ordering, service and manager reviews around your business. We create the agreed planning tools and routines, organise them into a practical operating manual, and give your managers a phased introduction plan and remote handover.

The proposal confirms coverage, deliverables, revisions, timetable, handover, follow-up and price. Your managers put the system into use and run the venue.

Optional monthly support

Friday Partner.

Keep the routines useful.

Friday Partner is for businesses with working routines already in use, whether introduced by your own team or through a Friday Ready project. It gives your managers a regular point to review what is working, what is slipping and what needs to change.

A progress review.

At each agreed review, we look at the records, progress and open actions with your managers. We check how the routines are being used and identify what needs attention next.

A clear action note.

After the review, you receive a short written action note: the priorities, who owns each next step and what to revisit at the following review.

Updates to existing tools.

Within the agreed monthly scope, we adjust the tools already in use: a prep plan, handover, checklist or manager review.

Your written quote confirms the records and tools covered, review schedule, included adjustments and revisions, support arrangements and monthly fee. New system builds or wider redesigns are separate projects. Your managers retain day-to-day control.

This is planned remote support. Urgent operational cover, unlimited calls and regulatory sign-off are outside the service.
